I was staying with a friend, so we chose a room with two double beds. It was bigger than I expected, with a long sofa too. I liked the simple bathroom, and the fruit Danish pastries and nikujaga at breakfast were delicious.

Walking from Yokohama Station.ARRIVAL & LOBBY

I walked for about 20 minutes from Yokohama Station. It is also a short walk from Minatomirai Station, and I got soaked in a thunderstorm. The hotel had only been open for two years and looked lovely; walking in was exciting.

The room was surprisingly large, which made me happy. There was a long sofa by the window. The water came in glass bottles, a lovely touch. I did not use the minibar.

A simple bathroom I liked.BATHROOM

The deep bathtub had a simple design, with a button to turn on the water. Being able to use the handheld and rain showers together was comfortable too. The hair dryer was Panasonic, though I would have liked something a little better.

I checked in at the club lounge on the 22nd floor. The views of Yokohama through the large windows were beautiful. I had some orange juice.

Danish pastries and nikujaga for breakfast.BRASSERIE DU QUAI / 2024

The next morning, I went to Brasserie du Quai on the third floor. I chose Japanese and Western dishes, and enjoyed the fruit Danish pastries and nikujaga, a meat and potato stew. The photographs and restaurant name reflect my September 2024 stay.
