A pool on the 76th floor,
and a Hong Kong morning.

Neither my Nightly Upgrade Award nor an upgrade came through this time, so I spent one night in a Wonderful Room. I was not especially satisfied with the value for the room rate, but the rooftop pool and breakfast stayed with me.

From Kowloon Station to W's lights.ARRIVAL & LOBBY

I took the wrong station exit and got a little lost before arriving. Back through Kowloon Station towards the hotel, a red and purple W sign welcomed me.

A room in calm colours, with the harbour outside. Without an upgrade or late checkout this time, I felt a little underwhelmed.

I like the melon-like scent of Davines MOMO. The ghd hair dryer had strong airflow and was the same as the one I had used at W Sydney.

The 76th-floor pool, by day and night.WET / FIT / SPA

An illuminated mural at night, and open sky by day at the rooftop pool. This was the most memorable place on this stay. The poolside bar was not operating when I visited.

I got into KITCHEN around 9 a.m. without a crowd. The egg tarts and Danish pastries piled with fruit were delicious.

At a restaurant I found before arriving, I had fried rice and mapo tofu. About JPY 7,000 for two dishes surprised me with Hong Kong's prices.
