Near the airport,
delicious Japanese food.

On May 30, I stayed at Le Méridien Dubai near Dubai Airport. The Japanese restaurant is what I remember most. The food was incredibly good.

The room, pool, lounge and breakfast the next morning, in photographs. At the end are the souks and old town, which I explored afterwards.

The Japanese food was incredibly good.JAPANESE DINNER

Tempura, a bento meal and a toast with beer. I really enjoyed the hotel’s Japanese restaurant. Matcha ice cream followed.

This records a visit in May 2026. The official information checked on October 17, 2026 listed Kiku, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, as temporarily closed.

The following day, I went to Al Seef. I walked through souks and alleys along Dubai Creek and ate in the old town. These photographs follow the walk from day into night.
