and a night enjoying the lounge.

This time, a One-Bedroom Suite on the 25th floor. I could really relax on the sofa. I paid extra for the club lounge, where I kept enjoying delicious food from afternoon tea through dinner and breakfast the next morning.

The hotel entrance is inside Shanghai Centre, which also has a Starbucks. At check-in, they explained things clearly in English using an iPad Pro.

The suite had separate living and sleeping areas. I liked its calm, characteristically Ritz-Carlton atmosphere. The windows looked out over Shanghai.

I enjoyed a good soak in the large bathtub. The amenities were diptyque. I did not particularly like the Honeyson hair dryer fixed in the drawer; its airflow felt weak.

Afternoon tea by the window.THE RITZ-CARLTON CLUB

I paid an extra JPY 8,000 per person to use the lounge. Afternoon tea by the window was more restrained than what I usually have, but the quality was high. This extra charge reflects my 2024 stay.

The tender meat was delicious. Alcohol was served in the evening, and the bartender made an original cocktail for me. Afterwards, I even had cake and macarons.

Back to the club lounge the next morning.BREAKFAST

Breakfast was in the same lounge, where I chose dim sum and eggs. On leaving, I received a branded neck pillow and was driven to my destination in a Mercedes. The very good service stayed with me.
