At a newly opened hotel,
a night enjoying the food too.

This was my favourite design among the Autograph Collection hotels I had stayed at up to then. Eel rice for dinner, roast beef and fruit tarts for breakfast: the food was delicious, and I enjoyed my time at the hotel.

A small entrance beyond KITTE Osaka.ARRIVAL & LOBBY

I walked from Osaka Station, but Umeda is as confusing as ever. Beyond KITTE Osaka, I found a tucked-away orange entrance. Reception was on the 29th floor. There was a water station in the lobby, where I filled my own bottle with cold water.

My room was at the far western end from Osaka Station, down a long corridor. There was no upgrade this time, but I loved the room's calm colours. The windows looked out over Osaka.

I opened the tamatebako box on the table to find drinking dashi broth and Koganto candy. A fun Osaka touch. Drinks in the fridge were complimentary on this stay too. The minibar details reflect August 2024.

A bathroom in shades of grey.BATHROOM

A chic bathroom with a tub and shower. The shampoo products were from Osaka's HAHONICO. The hair dryer was SALONIA. I personally prefer ReFa or Repronizer, so it felt a little like an ordinary home appliance.

At THE-MOMENT GRILL & DINING, I sat in the far corner. I toasted with sparkling wine overlooking the city at dusk. There was sushi and tempura, and the foie gras and truffle risotto was delicious. I particularly liked the eel rice bowl.

I returned to the same restaurant the next morning and was surprised by the number of dishes. The roast beef and eggs Benedict were delicious. The fruit tarts burst with fruit flavour and were hard to stop eating.
