the St. Regis butler service.

For a night in Riyadh, I stayed at The St. Regis Riyadh. The very spacious room and kind butler service stood out. This distinctive St. Regis service remains something I really enjoy.

It was 46°C during our stay, and I remember how good the pool felt. The truffle sandwich in the beautiful breakfast room is another memory of this hotel.

A very spacious room.THE ROOM

The room was simply huge. The living area had a generous sofa and a round table by the window, with plenty of space extending through to the bedroom. The butler’s kindness was another favourite part of this stay.

The bathroom was finished in pale stone, with twin basins, a large mirror, a freestanding bathtub and a shower area. The decoration above the tub caught my eye, too.

VIA Riyadh beyond the window, in the evening and at night.THE VIEW

The room overlooked the buildings of VIA Riyadh. Light came through the windows in the evening; at night, buildings and streets lit up. These views changed with the time of day.

A beautiful room and a truffle sandwich.BREAKFAST

The breakfast room itself was beautiful, with large windows and a gently curving ceiling. The truffle sandwich was particularly delicious. These photographs also show bread and fruit at the buffet and the breakfast I chose.

It reached 46°C during our stay, so the pool felt wonderful. Tables and chairs lined the terrace, with open sky beyond.
