I spent a night at W Riyadh – KAFD on a trip for my girlfriend’s birthday. The hotel had opened only recently, and we stayed in a suite.

A living and dining area by the windows, and birthday decorations in the bedroom. These photographs capture the room, the delicious truffle pizza, breakfast and the hotel interiors.

A red W sign stood among KAFD’s buildings. Inside were stone floors, greenery and warm lighting. From the large-windowed lobby to the guest-floor corridors, I photographed the different colours and materials.

We stayed in a suite, with living and dining areas along the windows and city views from the bedroom, too. White and green furnishings, a red wall and orange chairs added splashes of colour.

Birthday decorations and cake.A BIRTHDAY STAY

We were here for my girlfriend’s birthday. Towels and petals decorated the bed, with a birthday cake and sweets in the room, too. These are photographs I wanted to keep from this trip.

The bathroom had a freestanding bathtub by the window and a shower area. The deep-coloured tub stood out against the stone walls and floor. BYREDO’s Le Chemin amenities were provided.

Outside was a pool lined with palms. The dining room had large windows, a curved counter and green and pale-coloured chairs. These photographs show a different atmosphere from the room.

The truffle pizza I remember from the meals.AT THE TABLE

The truffle pizza was a favourite during our stay. I also photographed the table with its colourful dishes. Personally, I was a little disappointed that we could not enjoy alcohol with our meals.
